TOKE-CHA. Plays modern ethnic world music in the unique style which musicians have named Acoustic Ethno-BreakBeat (the dancing rhythms played on ethnic drums + singing: overtone throat, arabic, russian & beatbox + more than 200 musical instruments of the different countries of the world).

The name of band - "Toke-Cha", in translation with Japanese, means "Mad Tea".

Music of Toke-Cha combines such modern rhythms as Drum&bass, Trip Hop, Break Beat, Trance, Hip Hop, Ambient with sounding ethnic instruments of the different countries of the world. All is executed alive, without use of soundtracks

Each of members of the band plays on many musical instruments which quantity constantly replenishes. At present in their collection it is totaled over 300 musical instruments. Besides acoustics musicians of group use electronic processings a sound and electronic percussions.

 BULAT Gafarov - leader of Toke-Cha. Composer, musician multiinstrumentalist (can play simultaneously on 4 musical instruments):

First concert of "Toke-Cha" was in 2001 in "Club of tea culture" (Russia, Moscow)

 Conception of sounding of bands is Music of the Phytogenesis (ecofriendly music). So band named the first album,  written in 2002 on the studio of "TRec", the head of which there is Bulat.

After that 4 more albums have been recorded: "The Shaman's" (2003), “Live 2004”, a multimedia disk “Live 2005” and "On Line" (2006. Music for films), also released by studio "TRec".

At present the band prepares for release for a new album in which modern electronic rhythms will be combined, such as Break Beat, Drum&Bass, Ethno-Trance and Ambient, with sounding alive voices and ethnic musical instruments. The name of an album - “Eclecticus”.

At group many joint projects with famous musicans, theatres, dancers, show with fire, a modernist style ballet, etc.

At Toke-Cha there is a site: www.toke-cha.ru  on which the poster of performances is on a regular basis hung out, music, video, is created the unique musical encyclopedia about musical instruments and executors, a photo, picture gallery of friends to group, and a lot of other useful information.
